ESR provides a Western Medicine Screening service to identify whether a product contain substances regulated under New Zealand law (such as a scheduled medicine or other drug) or have been adulterated with unknown substances.
Common investigations include herbal products containing erectile dysfunction or weight loss prescription medicines, or the screening of body building supplements for anabolic steroids.
ESR's Pharmaceutical team can screen and detect thousands of drugs and regulated medicines using an analytical method called Western Medicine Screening. Our ability to do this plays a significant role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders and making sure foods, natural health products, and herbal preparations are safe to take.
